Situation
Faced with new information security requirements in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), a Midwest health care company turned to Orange Parachute for company-wide awareness training. Orange Parachute understood the added complexity of HIPAA interpretation and compliance given the organization's specialty in electronic prescribing.

Strategy
Orange Parachute built a training program spanning HIPPA regulations and other information security topics. The training sessions gave management an effective vehicle for communicating the weight of compliance to employees. Everyone gained a better understanding of security risks inherent to an electronic service like ePrescribing as well as the often complex policies, standards and regulations in the health care industry.

Results
Orange Parachute delivered a reliable and engaging training program to facilitate the client's progress toward HIPPA compliance. Security management personnel continue to use the program throughout the enterprise to ensure ongoing compliance with HIPAA and other information security regulations.
